Bio:
Sennatta and Valyn Moonshadow both came from Ashenvale raised together from childhood. As they grew, a bond developed. Both followed the path of the warrior, Sennatta and Valyn both becoming Sentinels. After several years of working together, they married. A year later, they had Theois, then Aldaril.
Theois and Aldaril were cared for by his mother, while their father continued his work as a Sentinel. For several years, Theois' life was routine. His mother took care of him continually, ensuring he was safe and was raised to be a good person, along with his brother. He occasionally played with other children, though usually keeping to himself and staying with his mother. At 15, his mother started teaching them. Mostly she taught, with the help of a nearby tutor, normal schooling he would need when older, though she started to add a bit of exercise and even some warrior training.
This continued for several months, with a occasional hunt added in for training and experience, before his father finally decided to take a hand into his son's training. He started training him with wooden swords, how to work and fix a bow, and other skills. They spent a year in training, Theois' father and mother both training him heavily. He took it all well despite his young age, able to do most of it though occasionally unable to do some skill.
After several years of schooling and warrior training, Theois decided he would follow the same path of his parents. At 35, he requested to be 'apprenticed' by his mother. She immediately accepted and started his real training, while Valyn went back to working as a full-time Sentinel. Theois started his real training, taking to her training very well.
As he excelled in what his mother taught him, Theois started learning what he could about blacksmithing, finding it a interesting craft. He progressed well in that and mining, finding it a fun and interesting craft. Both his warrior and blacksmithing training over time started to assist him in subtle ways, such as eliminating what baby fat he had left and giving him a solid muscle core.
At 38, Theois had become a strong, tall Night Elf, close to becoming a soldier. Both of his parents were extremely proud of him and his decisions, glad he was following in their footsteps. Though this wasn't meant to last. One day, Sennetta and Valyn decided to go on a patrol together, along with a druid and a few other Sentinels into a darker part of the forest. They were gone for several days before another patrol was sent to find them. Sadly, the entire patrol had been ambushed and killed. Upon hearing this, Theois was devastated.
Theois went into state of depression, walking about blindly in thought, staring out into the forest for days on end, barely eating enough food and water to sustain himself, and other things. Finally after two weeks of this, Theois snapped out of it, now harder and colder though determined. He went to one of his mother's fello Sentinels, her best friend Liyth, and requested that she continue his training. She accepted, glad to help her best friend's son continue his training.
A few years later and now 46, Theois finally finished his training. After the amount of time spent with Liyth, a friendship had started. Theois thanked her several times then went out on his own, quickly enlisting into the Sentinels.
The moment Theois joined the Sentinels, he was put through a series of tests and training sessions, assessing what he knew. After a week of this, they finally accepted him. They started training him with even more advanced techniques and training, which made him happy, giving him a new purpose. He excelled in almost everything he was taught, especially swordsmanship and tactics. Also, he found he had a strange amount of charisma, making him a natural leader among his fello recruits.
Theois was quick to gather some friends, helping them through training, giving support, etc, glad to be among other's who wished to be soldiers. He found one good friend in particular, a Renonna Nightfang. She was a fello recruit, having joined a week or so after he had. Theois and Renonna quickly learned to like each other, finding several similarities in each other.
At 58, Theois and Renonna both trained and grew to trust each other. By the time they had both become full Sentinels, they were best friends and trusted each other with their lives. They both decided to stick together in the same area, part of the garrison in Ashenvale.
Over a few months, Theois grew to be a extremely good soldier. One time while on patrol, Theois and his fello Sentinels encountered a group of satyr's, attempting to sneak into Ashenvale. There were around fifteen of them while only four Sentinels, including Theois. Theois immediately organized a defensive line, two of his Sentinels using shields while the third used a bow. He pulled out his own two-handed sword and readied himself to charge.
The satyr quickly charged, eager to kill elves. The two shield-wielding elves threw off the first wave of satyrs with their shields and swords, acquiring no wounds, while the third Sentinel quickly and efficiently picked off satyrs. Upon the first wave failing, Theois charged right into their midst and started thrusting, slicing, and smashing with his sword and fist, killing at least half of them. As quickly as the fight started, it had ended. Theois had killed around seven while his fello Sentinels killed the other eight. Upon returning to HQ, Theois was promoted to a Sergeant.
After the incident with the satyr, the land was quiet for many years. Theois went on daily patrols, explored the forest, followed orders, and used his precious free time to just practice blacksmithing and having a bit of fun with his fello soldiers. He grew to be a excellent blacksmith and then armorsmith, finding it to be a great hobby and very helpful.
As Theois continued with his patrols, he requested that Renonna join his squad, finding she was a reliable soldier and close friend. He kept her close, appreciating her company while on patrol and off-duty. Occasionally she would watch him work at the forge, impressed by his strength and knowledge in smithing. Theois found over time that he really loved her company, which was strange as he normally liked to be alone.
At 134, Theois finally completed his blacksmithing training, now a artisan armorsmith and expert weaponsmith. Glad to have finished, Theois decided to test his skills. He gathered several materials from around Kalimdor and finally returned to Darnassus. He quickly set to work on his project, working non-stop for a week before finally finishing. His project had been a custom set of light, yet durable armor and a shortsword for Renonna. He hid it within his home, then went out to find her.
Just a few hours later, he returned with Renonna at his side and presented his gifts to her. She accepted them happily, totally surprised that he had made it for her. She asked Theois to help her put it on and once he agreed, she started to undress. Slightly surprised though keeping quiet, Theois quickly helped her into the armor. Once on and everything was tightened, Renonna found it to be a perfect fit. She slipped the sword and scabbard Theois had made onto her belt, then stood still as Theois circled around her. In his eyes, she looked absolutely beautiful.
After helping her out of the armor, Theois finally hinted at his growing feelings for her. Upon hearing this, she responded in kind. They talked for several minutes before embracing. That night and from then on, they slept together in his home. Only a few months later, Theois proposed to her. They were wed days later. Their love and trust for each other was enormous, both willing to give their life for the other.
They lived happily together for many more years, with Theois gaining the rank of Captain for bravery and ingenuity on the field. Though peace eventually ended. At 504, the Invasion of Kalimdor began.
Theois and his fello Sentinels were some of the first to encounter the orcs at Ashenvale. Theois led them into battle numerous times, finding the orcs to be interesting and difficult opponents. On one occasion, Theois, Renonna, and his Sentinels led a attack on a small orc lumber mill. The attack proved extremely successful, with Theois leading the attack head-on with his swordsmen, while Renonna led the archers to support Theois. They killed a dozen or so orcs quickly and set fire to the mill, though in doing so, they were surrounded. Theois regrouped with the archers quickly, then assembled a shield wall, with the archers in the center, swordsmen on the outside, and the three spearmen partially in the middle, ready to jab between the shield-wielders at enemy soldiers.
They held off the orcs for a short time before they were overwelmed. Theois led a desperate charge through the orc line to freedom, successfully retreating though with a few losses. One of those losses was Renonna. She accidently tripped while they were making the last sprint for freedom, allowing the chasing orcs to catch her. She killed the first two, though she was quickly overwelmed as she tried to regroup with Theois.
Upon seeing her stabbed numberous times in the back by the vicious orcs, Theois went into a rage and charged at the incoming orcs, killing around a dozen of them with the help of his men. After having dealt with the immediate orcs, Theois knelt by his mate and took her in his bloody arms, cradling her dead body gently. He quickly re-ordered the retreat, knowing his men couldn't handle another squad of the savage orcs. They returned to their temporary HQ at a nearby ruins, where they gathered their gear, supplies, and rest of the squad, then headed for the nearest Night Elven fort. Theois went into a period of depression and seclusion, ensuring to care for his men though when off-duty he would sit about and mourn the death of his mate.
After a short period of this, Theois finally pulled himself out of depression and returned to his duties in full. His campaign continued again, with Theois leading assault after assault while trying to defend what land they had from the orcs.
After a few weeks of this fighting and most of his assaults successful, Theois was promoted to a commander, leading a small platoon of Sentinels. Just after recieving the promotion though, Theois learned of the truce with the orcs and humans. He grew enormously angry at hearing this, though finally contained himself and continued on with the fight.
Theois quickly began his fight againest the Legion, fighting hordes of them with few casualties. He proved extremely able in inspiring his soldiers and using the appropriate tactics for each fight. He and his two dozen Sentinels once held off several hundred demons of the Legion from a old ruin, having been heavily reinforced to be a defendable fort.
Theois led his fello Sentinels through the fight every step of the way, fighting at the very front at all times and encouraging his men when needed. Eventually the demon horde increased till around another few hundred were ready to charge. Luckily and ironically, reinforcements arrived, though they were a detachment of orcs, around 3 dozen of them. They were all under Theois' command from what their captain said. Theois barely held back his venom as he gave orders to them, mixing them with his own Sentinels.
The next attack came quickly, and with the help of the orcs, Theois' platoon won the battle with minimal casualties. As they finished up the last few demons and quickly collected the dead and prepared them for travel, a messenger arrived and gave them their new orders. They were to head directly to Hyjal and assist the combined army in defeating the Legion.
After a half-days travel, they arrived to a massive battle. Theois quickly led his troops, elves and orcs alike, into battle, taking a large group of demons in the rear and slaughtering them quickly. They then proceeded to go find the next batch of demons to eliminate, while assisting nearby squads in combat.
They fought for what felt like eternity before finally it was over. Theois was near exhaustion though continued on, till he was finally overwelmed for a minute. He was stabbed and bitten numerous times before his soldiers fought off the desperate demons and retrieved Theois. One of his squads quickly took him to their lines and got him to a healer, who worked her magic on him. While the rest of his platoon fought with the rest of the army, that one squad waited anxiously to see if Theois would live. Finally after a hour of waiting, they were told he would.
After the battle, Theois was awarded several medals for honor and bravery and even accepted by the orcs as a great warrior. Theois accepted them all silently, relieved that the invasion was over and things would be fine.
A year after the battle, Theois was summoned by the High Priestess to Darnassus. Once he arrived, she gave him the opportunity of being one of the first night elves to be sent to the Eastern Kingdom. He immediately accepted, glad to have another mission and a way to help his nation's connections with the humans grow.
He gathered all his possessions and gear, then was sent out on the first human ship to the Eastern Kingdoms. While traveling, he learned as much of the common language as he could. By the end of the journey, he knew the bulk of the language. Several weeks later, he arrived at Menethil Harbor. He was put under the command of a certain Commander Dangoro as a Lieutenant Commander. Theois followed orders carefully and slowly adjusted to his new life among the humans, dwarves, and gnomes, finding them much differant then his night elven kin.
After having been there a week, they were finally ordered to go North. Commander Dangoro and Theois led their company of 220 human, dwarf, and gnome soldiers up through the Wetlands and all the way to the Plaguelands. Upon arriving, Dangoro had Theois organize the building of a temporary fort. Once done, he and Theois discussed their orders, which consisted of a small raid on the nearby Scourge forces, just to see what strength they had and gather some data for a accompanying battlemage.
The next day, Theois led a scouting party to map the area and find where the Scourge was. They found them easily enough and actually came into a fight. Theois was extremely cautious of them, not having encountered many undead before. The battle went smoothly, with his 20 vs a small group of 10. They eliminated them quickly, then returned to base and reported the encounter. After a hour or so, a raiding party was assembled of 50 soldiers, including the battlemage and several paladins.
Theois led the attack personally on the town of Andorhal, finding a horde of undead there. Theois organized the men into a spearhead as they charged, the paladins up front, the battlemage in the center, and shield-men at the outter edges, while archers and riflemen were surrounding the mage. The attack proved excellant, as they eliminated several hundred of the undead, including 5 lieutenants and a captain. They then retreated and headed back to the fort.
A new campaign started, with Theois at the head of it. He learned how to combat the Scourge with what he had, not recieving many casualties and helping the battlemage get what data he needed. Though the campaign was going well, it didn't last forever. Finally the Scourge retaliated with a large force of about 500, including several lieutenants, a captain, commander, and several knights. They attacked the fort Theois and his men had built several weeks back. Luckily during this time they had reinforced it and modified it enormously till it was a heavy-duty fort.
They held off several waves of the undead horde outside the fort, though they finally got onto the walls and started pushing inward. Theois ordered a retreat into the inner barricade, letting the archers hold back the incoming undead as his swordsmen and paladins pulled back to the barricade. Once there, they met the next wave head on. This continued for a a whole day before the undead army was eliminated. Theois had lost a 50 men and had another 20 wounded, though eliminated approximately 500 undead.
He quickly organized a retreat back to Menethil Harbor, making sure to bring the dead with them as well. The campaign had lasted about a month. Upon returning, Theois was congratulated by both Commander Dangoro, the battlemage, and several other officials, and was rewarded the position of Commander with 500 soldiers, with several paladins and mages along as well. He accepted and quickly got ready to move out again.
For the next 4 years, Theois led his men on at least 2 dozen successful missions and several small campaigns againest the Scourge, and bandit lords and their men. Over that time, Theois forged a close connection with his men, trusting them and they in turn trusting him, nearly every one of them as loyal as a dog to him personally. During this time, Theois grew more and more interested in the human, dwarf and gnome cultures, finding he preferred them to his night elven culture. Also, having seen the paladins in combat and their absolute faith in the Light, he decided to see why they believed in it so faithfully.
He once went to the Cathedral of Light and watched as clerics prayed, paladins trained, the librarians sort their books, and other things, he finally realized there was more then the strange idea of Elune. He continued to visit the Cathedral, bit by bit being attracted to it.
One of their final missions during that period was when they attacked a pirate base in the Hillsbrad Foothills. They had landed their ships and used them as buildings and assembled a wall around them, making a decent sized camp. There were about 300 of them, along with some cannons and a few ballistas, while Theois' group numbered 475 on foot, with some mounted infantry. They decided to attack at night, utilizing stealth and surprise to even the odds the heavy weapons gave the pirates. The attack went smoothly, with them sneaking up to the very wall and killing the sentries silently, then charging in on the quiet camp.
They killed half of the pirates within the first 15 minutes, as most of them were asleep on the ground, then moved on and attacked the ships, going level by level through the 3 ships. Finally the attack was successful. They boarded the ships and prepared to set sail, then quickly took the ships to Southshore, where several experienced crews awaited to take the ships to Menethil Harbor for repairing and refitting.
After this mission, Theois and his men were requested to return to Stormwind by foot, from Menethil Harbor to Stormwind City. The journey was long and difficult, and along the way they encountered and dealt with several bandit groups, but they finally made it.
Special Forces Commander and Possible Paladin Training
Once they arrived, Theois was given the commission of forming the Stormwind Special Forces. He immediately accepted, along with every single soldier of his. They all became his first SF Troopers, and most trusted. They were the foundations of the Special Forces and over time were used to train more. Theois continually led his men on new missions all over the Eastern Kingdom and even in Kalimdor, though rarely.
As time went by, Theois finally requested to join the paladins and clerics as a trainee, hoping to possibly become one of them over time, however long it took. They accepted, slightly perplexed that a night elf had requested so, though glad to have another convert. Theois now trains little bit by little bit to try and become a devoted follower of the Light. He is now 512 years old and in his prime, always ready for battle and to serve his new home within the Alliance.
He also has in the last few years created and still leads a military 'guild' known as The Adura Guardians, created from his own company with the permission of the Alliance, all of them protectors of both the Alliance and Horde alike. And despite his dis-like of the Horde, he even accepts some of them within it as well to combat the Burning Legion and Scourge. He now is also a powerful paladin of the Light, the first night elf to be given this honor, even if he is still learning.
